Covid-19 Policies
At this time, all voice lessons will be conducted via Zoom until safety precautions allow students and teachers to be safe working in person without masks. Having to work with masks in person does not allow for proper visualization of a student's embouchure, and lack of concrete data surrounding effective safe practices for in-person singing does not allow for a risk-free learning environment! Keep checking this page for updates--I am constantly researching and learning more about how to resume normal singing as soon as possible.
Students who do not sing are allowed to resume in-person lessons, with required monitoring of temperature and symptoms. Upon arriving at the studio, a temperature check will be performed. Students are required to wear a mask for the duration of their lesson. Lessons will be staggered in order to provide ample time for sanitization. The studio space is also equipped with a HEPA air filter in order to provide the best filtration possible. All lessons are able to be moved to Zoom at any point in time if a student feels under the weather or has come in contact with the virus. Students who feel uncomfortable or would prefer consistency are more than welcome to stay online!
Following this policy is important in order to provide a safe and consistent learning environment for all students. In particular, students have faced the most challenges with inconsistency throughout this year. Being able to guarantee a consistent and safe lesson for all will provide structure and stability in a time where we all need it!
Research is ever-changing, and these policies are subject to change at any time depending on a potential rise in cases, new data, etc.
